50 years Crap Sogn Gion

50 years ago, ‘Saint John’s stone’, the 2,228 m high Crap Sogn Gion was made accessible with the first mountain railway in the Flims Laax Falera region. Since then, it has become the central starting point and a popular destination for winter sports as well as summer visitors.

On 15th December 2012, the Weisse Arena Group celebrated its 50th anniversary with their guests, partners and friends. 2 new six-seater chair lifts, including one designed by Porsche Design Studios, were ceremoniously opened and guests explored the latest cableway technology as well as enjoying the unique view of the mountains with rosti and raclette. While the kids let off some steam on the kids’ programme in the restaurant, the grown-ups danced away in the rockbar. And at the valley station in Laax, you could feel the spirit of Christmas: The traditional Christmas market in rocksresort invited all guests to relax and enjoy some food or drink.
