GALAAXY on Crap Sogn Gion – Reconstruction of the mountain station

The Crap Sogn Gion mountain station at 2252 m above sea level is the hub of the LAAX winter sports area. It will be given a facelift for the 2017/18 winter season: parts of the building, which is over 50 years old, will be significantly redesigned and the gastronomic offer will be further improved. The building on Crap Sogn Gion, which is often perceived as a spaceship, is taking a new, galactic approach under the motto “GALAAXY”. With a redesign, new life is being breathed into the inexpressive rooms and cool walls.

The focus is on colour, style, plants and witty details. The special design elements include an old Coca Cola machine that is converted into a toilet door or a parquet floor from the Dolder Hotel in Zurich that has been danced through. In addition, luminous neon signs give visitors wisdom to take with them on the slopes, and in the sticker shop they can even have personalised T-shirts embroidered. Radio GALAAXY’s playlist is responsible for the right groove. Cultural events are also planned, for example in the new open workspace “The Bridge” with cinema and seating area.
