Hundreds of freestyle enthusiasts visited the newly opened Freestyle Academy LAAX last weekend from 14 to 15 December 2024 to celebrate the grand opening of the brand new hall in Laax Murschetg. Although it has been open to guests since August, those responsible did not miss the opportunity to inaugurate it in style.
Workshops, skate and trampoline sessions and concerts took place throughout the weekend – admission was free for all visitors. They were able to try out skating, trampolining and parkour and receive tips from experienced coaches. Well-known names from these sports were on hand to provide inspiration, including Flims freeskier Andri Ragettli and Latvian professional skateboarder Madars Apse. They also showed off their skills and were on hand to offer advice to those interested in learning.
The newly built hall focuses on promoting freestyle sports among the general public. It offers a place where children and adults, beginners and professionals can share their enthusiasm for freestyle sports and meet at eye level. It offers the best training opportunities for professional athletes, those who want to become professional athletes and those who are just there for fun. After all, that’s the motto of the Freestyle Academy: Freestyle is for everyone.
